My work this last week has just been working on my magazine cover, reading a total of 50 pages from 2 different books while annotating with detail and writing 1 reflection. The magazine cover was interesting and not boring but a little stressful because I wanted it to look really real, so it was a little tiny bit rough. Reading the 50 pages probably wouldn't have been bad if we read directly from a book but it being printed out and having to read it all in one night was extremely stressful, I had absolutely no fun with it at all but that's ok. Reflecting was alright, it was interesting but I was really stressed because I had got home at 8 pm and I wanted it to be perfect since it was my first piece of writing for this year. I am generally proud of my effort but I was sadly not very interested in it, so that it 10x more difficult. I got a little excited when I read about a sort of women revolution beginning in the first reading but it was very short so I was disappointed. I feel very strongly on women's rights and equality for everyone not just women so it gave me that little extra push I needed to get through the rest of the night. I was proud of myself for finding my little share of interest in the text and applying myself. One of my goals this year was to apply myself more into my work and put the same effort i out into other things into my school work! I was really happy about that and I still am :-). The only thing I would say i could have done better in was probably getting excited to read, in class I was just thinking, "Wow this is going to be absolutely terrible, my goodness I don't want to go home now." I wasn't completely wrong but I wasn't 100% right either so that was good in a way. I didn't really talk to any of my buddies about the text so I'm not sure I'm able to say what I discussed with them about the text. On another note I would say that for next week I'd like to be more efficient with my work and continue to apply myself!
